PRUNING, A Beginner's Guide
will be held at The Coach House
on Thursday, 6th April 2017
Mary Payne, renowned for her lectures on pruning, will
demystify this vital but often poorly understood aspect of
garden care and show that armed with a basic understanding
of the principles of plant growth, it is possible to identify the
correct method of pruning required for any plant.
Students will be encouraged to consider the purpose of
pruning, whether it be for growth, shape or health, as well
as the timing, tools and methods appropriate for a wide
range of woody plants.
The day runs from 10.00 - 4.30pm and includes coffee on
arrival, a two course lunch and tea at the end of the day.
Places are limited and cost £90.00 each.
This series of Masterclasses, which are taking place at
various venues across the country, have been put together by
distinguished horticulturalists Noel Kingsbury and Annie
Guilfoyle, in collaboration with Gardens Illustrated magazine.
